Why are tattoos not allowed in public swimming pool in Korea?
I went on a business trip to Korea and stayed in a beautiful hotel in Seoul. When I went to the gym to the pool. They told me they could not swim in the pool with a tattoo. Why do not you? I heard that in Japan are concerned by tattoos that is designated as Yakuza. Is this the same kind of reason in Korea? Or Another issue is cultural.
Tattoos in East Asia associated with mafia, and Japan itself is associated with being a yakuza same can not be exposed in public and can not enter public swimming pools, etc, of course .. can always cover the tattoo, but I go to see a makeup artist, etc, to airbrushing for the day
